Summer School 2012

In keeping with its traditions, The International School of Protocol and Diplomacy (ISPD) is proud to announce that it is holding its “2012 Summer School Programme” from 10 to 13 July 2012 at its headquarters in Brussels, based on similar courses that it held with success in the past years. The two guest lecturers for the programme will be Mrs. Alice Hecth, former Chief of Protocol of the United Nations in New York and Ambassador Jacques De Baenst, former Head of Protocol of the European Commission in Brussels. The course, which has been designed specifically for those that wish to be introduced to or expand their knowledge of protocol, diplomacy and cross-cultural relations, will count also on the presence of many other distinguished lecturers, like for example Ambassador Luis Ritto, former EU Ambassador to the Holy See, the Order of Malta and the UN organisations in Rome, Mr. Yves Panneels, a known management consultant and protocol expert, who has published an interesting book on the practice of protocol, Ms. Florence Vanholsbeeck, Chief of Protocol of the United States Embassy in Brussels, and Mr. Jacques de Cartier d’Yves, former Head of Protocol of the Belgium Ministry of Defence. The programme will cover a wide range of subjects extending from the basic rules of protocol to diplomatic protocol, international protocol, military protocol, events organisation and working with the media. All of which are essential tools for the modern manager of today.
