On 26th September 2013, the ISPD was pleased to organise its ISPD Soft Diplomacy Café, unique and first of its kind project. The Soft Diplomacy Café was an intersection round table between the 3 main groups of actors in Brussels that use soft diplomacy skills in their professions: diplomatic missions, institutions and companies.
We were honoured by the presence of prominent guests that exchanged their views on soft diplomacy, corporate diplomacy and protocol, such as H.E. Jacques de Baenst, former Chief of Protocol of the European Commission, H.E. Luis Ritto, former EU Ambassador to the Holy See and H.E. Mary Margaret Muchada, Ambassador of Zimbabwe, the ISPD Executive Director and Soft Diplomacy Skills Specialist Ines Pires-Urquiza and numerous business representatives.
This evening was exceptional also for another reason. Starting from the new academic year, the ISPD is pleased to launch itsresearch centre and the scholarship programme. Atine John Bosco, a former Postgraduate student of the ISPD from Uganda, was granted the first ISPD scholarship that will allow him to follow our Master of Arts in Protocol and Soft Diplomacy Skills programme.
